Getting Here

What’s the quickest route to MCM Comic Con London? Where do I park at ExCeL? Here’s everything you need to know on how to get to MCM London Comic Con at ExCeL London.

Hotels

Want to be close to the action? We’ve partnered with our friends at HotelMap to help you find some of the best deals on accommodation around ExCeL London.

London Underground & DLR

Important: The ExCeL’s East Entrance is closed for MCM London due to construction works at the ExCeL.

If you’re heading to ExCeL via DLR, alight at Custom House station and follow our signage towards the Queue Hall on the north lorryway. If in doubt, ask a member of staff or steward to direct you.

For access to MCM London as a pedestrian from hotels based on the east side, we recommend using the DLR for just one stop – boarding at Prince Regent Station to alight at Custom house.

If you require our accessible entrance, you can use either the east entrance or the queue hall.

What is the DLR?

The Docklands Light Railway (known as the DLR) is part of the London Underground network, Custom House is less than a two minute’s walk to the entrance of the ExCel. Trains towards Beckton/Gallions Reach stop at Custom House.

Do not alight at Prince Regent, as there is no access to MCM from the east side of ExCeL this year, with the exception of those requiring our accessible entrance.

The Elizabeth Line, Jubilee Line and the DLR are typically the quickest routes to ExCeL London. Alight at Canning Town on the Jubilee Line and change onto a Beckton-bound DLR train for the quick two-stop journey to ExCeL: Custom House for ExCeL (for the west entrance).

What about Crossrail?

The Elizabeth Line is now open and is the best way of reaching MCM London. Alight at Custom House and follow signs for queue hall.

We recommend attendees keep a close eye on updates and plan to have a back-up route in case of disruption.

Driving

If you’re arriving via the M11, the North Circular (A406) or the A13, as you get closer to ExCeL you’ll pick up signs for Royal Docks, City Airport and ExCeL London.

If you’re using satellite navigation please enter the postcodes E16 1XL if you are travelling from the west to ExCeL from Blackwall Tunnel, Limehouse Link, A12 or central London – or E16 1FR if you are travelling from the east to ExCeL from the M11, A13 or into London from the east.

Important: The ExCeL’s East Entrance is closed for MCM London.

Make sure to head towards the west entrance. If you are trying to access MCM London as a pedestrian from hotels based on the east side, we recommend using the DLR for just one stop to hop from Prince Regent Station to Custom house.

Accessibility

MCM London Comic Con is open to individuals of all abilities and ExCeL is fully accessible. All attendees should head towards the queue hall on the west side of ExCeL on arrival, but we also have an accessible entrance on the east side. If you are collecting a carer pass, enter via the door to the right of the west entrance pyramid. If you’re travelling via elizabeth line or DLR, alight at custom house. If you’re travelling via car, follow signs for ExCeL parking, and from there we will have an accessible entrance via the undercroft.

Read more about entrance procedures.

Disabled Parking Bays

There are 155 bays suitable for disabled drivers on-site across ExCeL's car parks. These are wide bays with minimum dimensions of 5.9m by 3.6m. Access to the building from these bays is along walkways with a gradient of no more than 1:15 and via flat entrance lifts with automatic doors.

All public entrances allow for access by wheelchair via low gradient ramps and an automatic door. Once inside the venue, all floors are level, offering unobstructed access.

Please note MCM does not control pricing or availability for ExCeL parking.

Weekend and Priority ticket holders who require special assistance are permitted entry through the undercroft and will be escorted by a member of staff to the West Entrance carer desk. Please note: during general entry hours all attendees requiring special assistance will need to enter via the West Entrance.
