What’s the quickest route? Where do I park? What do you do once you arrive? We got you! Follow signs for MCM Comic Con and Hall 3A - 4  when you arrive, and read up travel info below. Here’s everything you need to know on how to get to MCM Birmingham Comic Con at the NEC.

By Train

If you’re joining us by train, alight at Birmingham International. From there you can follow signs for MCM Comic Con to Hall 3.

Direct services run all day to NEC, however if you’re travelling from further afield you may need to catch a connecting train at Birmingham New Street, which is less than a 15-minute journey away. By Bus

From Birmingham Airport you can get to the NEC via the free air-rail link, which takes just 90 seconds and runs every two minutes.

Driving

You’ll find NEC clearly signposted from all motorways and major routes including the M42, M40 and M6 - just pop B40 1NT in your sat nav. When you arrive at the NEC don’t follow your satnav anymore, look out for MCM Comic Con on NEC’s signs. Then, simply jump on our free shuttle bus or take a leisurely stroll along the signposted footpaths.

Shuttle times are:

  • Friday: 7am – 7pm
  • Saturday: 7am – 7pm
  • Sunday: 9am – 7pm

Show Entry

Step 1: Head to the queue hall

Follow signs to queue hall in hall 3! If in doubt, follow MCM signage or reach out to one of our friendly stewards for help!

Step 2: Security Check

All fans will need to go through security checks upon arrival. Have your bags, cosplay weapons and tesseracts ready for inspection!

Step 3: Collect your wristband

After security, please follow signage for general, priority or our accessible lane depending on your order. Make sure to have your PDF ticket on your confirmation email (you can print this or show via your phone) ready to be scanned by a member of staff. Once scanned, you will then receive your wristband!

  • 3-Day Weekend Tickets: Queue hall (access from Hall 3)
  • Friday Priority & General: Queue hall (access from Hall 3)
  • Saturday Priority & General: Queue hall (access from Hall 3)
  • Sunday Priority & General: Queue hall (access from Hall 3)
  • Creator, Press and Industry: Query desk in the Queue Hall
  • Accessibility: Any of the NEC’s entrances then collect wristbands from the Accessibility desk in the Queue Hall
  • University / group bookings: Query desk in the Queue Hall
  • Exhibitors, Artist Alley, Writers Block and Panellists: Query desk in the Queue Hall
  • Queries: Query desk in the Queue Hall
  • Exhibitors, Artist Alley, Writers Block and Panellists on Setup Days: Atrium

What about re-entry?

Please wear your wristband at all times, so you can leave and re-enter the show. The last re-entry time is 30 mins before show close.
