If you're new to MCM Birmingham Comic Con, you might have some questions about how to get there. We're here to help! Below is everything you need to know about finding your way to the NEC.

Entry Times
FRIDAY:
- Priority & Weekend Entry Tickets: 10am - 6pm
- General Entry Tickets: 12pm - 6pm
SATURDAY:
- Priority & Weekend Entry Tickets: 9am - 6pm
- General Entry Tickets: 11am - 6pm
SUNDAY:
- Priority & Weekend Entry Tickets: 10am - 5pm
- General Entry Tickets: 12pm - 5pm
Please note: the last re-entry time is 30 mins before show close.
Getting here
Important: Please be aware of industrial action and rail strikes 1-9 December. Plan ahead in case of disruptions and visit the National Rail website close to your date of travel to review your options. If arriving by car, please note the Eastway Slip Road will be closed as part of the upgrade scheme on the M42 at junction 6 and so we recommend you allow extra time for your journey.
If you’re joining us by train, alight at Birmingham International. From there you can follow signs for MCM Comic Con to Hall 3.
If you’re driving, you’ll find NEC clearly signposted from all motorways and major routes including the M42, M40 and M6 – just pop B40 1NT in your sat nav. When you arrive at the NEC don’t follow your satnav anymore, look out for MCM Comic Con or Hall 3 on NEC’s signs.
For those arriving by foot, simply jump on the NEC’s free shuttle bus or take a leisurely stroll along our signposted footpaths and follow signs for hall 3 for queue hall.
Shuttle times are:
- Friday: 7am – 7pm
- Saturday: 7am – 7pm
- Sunday: 9am – 7pm
Things you should know
Show Entry
Step 1: Head to the queue hall
Follow signs to queue hall in hall 3! If in doubt, follow MCM signage or reach out to one of our friendly stewards for help!
Step 2: Security Check
All fans will need to go through security checks upon arrival. Have your bags, cosplay weapons and tesseracts ready for inspection!
Step 3: Collect your wristband
After security, please follow signage for general, priority or our accessible lane depending on your order. Make sure to have your PDF ticket on your confirmation email (you can print this or show via your phone) ready to be scanned by a member of staff. Once scanned, you will then receive your wristband!
For Press/Creator/Industry/Speaker badges
Please head to the query desk in the Queue Hall to pick up your wristband.
What about re-entry?
Please wear your wristband at all times, so you can leave and re-enter the show through halls 3A or 4. The last re-entry time is 30 mins before show close.
