Stars of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to appear at MCM Comic Con to celebrate Songs of the Past expansion

We’re excited to announce that Doug Cockle (Geralt of Rivia) and John Schwab (Dandelion), stars of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, will be speaking on a panel at the show in October. The pair will be joined by The Witcher 4 Narrative Director Philipp Weber from CD PROJEKT RED, and Lead Writer Paula Mejsner from Fool’s Theory. Alongside the panel’s host, Joao De Mello, PR Manager at CD PROJEKT RED, together, they will celebrate the upcoming release of Songs of the Past, the new expansion to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Taking place on Saturday 24 October 2026 at the Excel London, the group will discuss returning to these beloved characters and finding new emotional stories to tell years after the success of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt twelve years ago. The session will include an early hands-off demonstration of the new expansion.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has sold more than 65 million copies since its release in 2015 and is the winner of more than 250 Game of the Year awards. Players explore a dark fantasy open world as witcher Geralt of Rivia as he takes on the most important contract of his life: saving his daughter Ciri. On 29 September 2026, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered will launch as a free upgrade for existing owners, bringing updates across gameplay, visuals, character progression and much more, bringing a modernized touch to the beloved RPG. Songs of the Past will release in 2027, and is the third expansion to the game, following Hearts of Stone (2015) and Blood and Wine (2016). It is being co-developed by CD PROJEKT RED and Fool’s Theory.

Doug Cockle is an actor, director, teacher and voice artist in video games, most notably of Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher series. He was nominated for a Game Award for Best Performance, a British Academy Games Award for Performer, and won Golden Joystick Award Best Gaming Performance for the role.

John Schwab is an American actor, TV producer and musician who resides in London. He produced The Hide with Christopher Granier-Deferre, which was nominated for a BIFA 2010. He is best known for his film and television roles in The Program (2015), The Catcher Was a Spy (2018) and television miniseries Dark Money (2019).
His voice work in animation and video games include, among others, Dandelion in The Witcher video games, Jin in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna - The Golden Country, Tony Stark / Iron Man in Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 and the Guardian.

Philipp Weber is the Narrative Director for The Witcher 4 at CD PROJEKT RED, where he leads the storytelling teams in creating immersive, morally complex narratives for the new Witcher saga. Previously, he worked as a Lead Quest Designer and Director, and was a Quest Designer on Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt as well as its expansions.

Paula Mejsner is a Lead Writer at Fool’s Theory, currently working on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Songs of the Past. She was previously a writer on The Thaumaturge. With 7 years of industry experience, she effortlessly combines a love of video games with a passion for writing, excelling in dialogue, quest design, and flavorful concept descriptions, as well as team management.
