Scholarship & Careers Fair for Apsiring Creatives

The MCM Scholarship is back again for October 2026, offering resources for learning, networking opportunities and advice for aspiring creatives.

We’re offering a scholarship to students and young people aspiring to get into a creative career. As well as hearing from experts in the MCM Careers Fair with a free 3-Day Weekend ticket for MCM London (23-25 October), the winner of the scholarship will receive a three-night stay at a hotel near Excel for the duration of the show and £500 to cover travel expenses, portfolio building or as an investment in tools and resources to enhance the creative learning.

Applications are open now here and will close at midnight on Monday 28 September. Terms and conditions can be found here.

Taking place from 23-25 October, the MCM Comic Con Careers Fair is a must visit for those looking to get into the creative industries – with all sessions included in the ticket price.

For aspiring game developers, there will be sessions on game design and development, as well as the different routes into the video games industry. Those interested in voice acting can learn how to get started in the industry, as the voices behind much-loved video game characters share their advice on bringing a game to life. Film and TV fanatics can discover career opportunities from experts from the British Film Institute, as well as the composer Richey Rynkowski.

Budding writers can explore different career paths with guidance from comic book artists, video game writers, authors and tabletop role playing game creators.

Creators looking to make the most of their content can find sessions on working with brands, the life of a YouTuber and the road to becoming a professional artist. There will also be a number of opportunities to enhance your career offering – from crafting a creative CV or the perfect portfolio, to panels with experts across video games, film and TV, animation and comics on getting started in each industry.

Across the weekend, the educational programme will sit alongside MCM Comic Con London’s wider line-up of guests, cosplay, anime, tabletop gaming, live performances, meet and greets and more.

Check out the official MCM Comic Con pages for the latest announcements on more guests, panels and activities in the lead up to MCM Comic Con this October.
