Revealing Our Gaming Highlights for October

MCM Comic Con London is bringing some of gaming’s biggest worlds to Excel London this October, with a packed line-up of panels, live shows and behind-the-scenes sessions across its stages.

Taking place from 23-25 October, fans can hear from the voices behind some of their favourite characters, discover how the soundtracks to huge games are created, see a brand new The Witcher 3 adventure in action and watch Natural Six unleash a new D&D adventure live on stage – all included in their ticket price.

CRITICAL ROLE

11am-11.45am | Main Stage

Join the cast of Critical Role for an unforgettable conversation celebrating the world of Exandria with star cast Matthew Mercer, Laura Bailey, Taliesin Jaffe, Ashley Johnson, Liam O'Brien, Marisha Ray, Sam Riegel, Travis Willingham and Robbie Daymond.

CONTROL: Scoring the Paranatural with Composer Petri Alanko

1pm-1.45pm | Live Stage

Multi BAFTA-nominated composer, musician and producer Petri Alanko, whose credits also include Alan Wake, takes fans inside the music of Remedy Entertainment’s CONTROL universe. The panel will explore how Alanko created the distinctive supernatural sound behind the game and scored its strange, shifting world.

Charm, Chaos and Command

2:30pm-3:15pm | Main Stage

Join these gaming powerhouses Anjali Bhimani, Neil Newbon, Nolan North and Ben Byron Davies as they deep dive into why we fall in love with rogues, villains, and chaotic neutrals, and answer your burning fan questions.

Grand Theft Auto Reunion

10am-10.45am | Live Stage

Head back to Los Santos as the voice actors behind Grand Theft Auto V’s most memorable roles, including Shawn Fonteno, Ned Luke and Steven Ogg, share stories from their time working in the world of GTA. *Will require priority window tickets.

The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past, Capital Stage

11am-12pm | Capital Stage

Geralt of Rivia is back. Doug Cockle, the voice of Geralt, and John Schwab, the voice of Dandelion, will be joined by the creators Philipp Weber and Paula Mejsner, from CD PROJEKT RED and Fool’s Theory to introduce Songs of the Past, the third expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

The new chapter sees Geralt return to help his lifelong friend Dandelion with family matters, putting their friendship at the heart of the story. Fans will get the chance to hear from the cast and creators and get a look at a hands-off demo of the expansion.

HORIZON: Behind the Music

3-4pm | Live Stage

Go behind the soundtracks of Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West with composer Joris de Man and vocalist Julie Elven. Moderated by Express FM’s Jon Brown, the session will explore the music behind Aloy’s world and the sound that has helped define the Horizon series.

Natural Six: Live D&D Panel

3-4.30pm | Capital Stage

Natural Six return to MCM for a brand new live adventure set in the world of Reliquiae. Expect familiar faces, questionable decisions and all of the chaos that comes from playing D&D in front of a Comic Con audience.

Natural Six features Ben Starr, Doug Cockle, Aoife Wilson, Alex Jordan and Hollie Bennett, with Harry McEntire as Dungeon Master.

Pokémon Biology: Surprisingly Spooky, Live Stage

2pm-2.45pm | Live Stage

Pokémon gets a suitably October twist as wild animal biologist Shelby on Safari looks beyond the obvious Ghost and Poison types to uncover some of the surprisingly spooky biology hidden in Pokédex entries, comparing the creatures of Pokémon with animals from our own world.

Behind The Scenes of Resident Evil

12-12.45pm | Main Stage

Enter the world of survival horror as Nicole Tompkins, Stephanie Panisello, Nick Apostolides, Genevieve Buechner, Eden Riegel, and Lily Gao (in a UK first!), the voice actors behind some of the Resident Evil franchise’s most iconic characters come together to talk about bringing the games, and their terrifying world, to life.

Inside the World of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

2pm-2.45pm | Live Stage

The cast of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 come together for a behind-the-scenes look at one of gaming’s biggest recent RPGs, exploring performance, storytelling and what goes into bringing its characters to life. Featuring Jennifer Svedberg-Yen, Kirsty Rider, Rich Keeble and Shala Nyx.

High Rollers Live! At MCM  

3pm-4:30pm | Capital Stage 

One of the biggest names in D&D and TTRPG Live Plays returns to MCM London Comic Con for a special live show set in their original world of Altheya. Gamesmaster Mara Holmes (also seen on Critical Role's Mighty Nein and Thresher) leads Chris Trott (Hat Films), Kim Richards 柯金宝丽 (Yogscast Kim), Katie Morrison, Tom Hazell and Rhiannon Frost in more laughs, tears and cheers at the table!

Across the weekend, the gaming programme will sit alongside MCM Comic Con London’s wider line-up of guests, cosplay, anime, tabletop gaming, live performances, meet and greets and more.
