Show's over!

MCM Comic Con Scotland 2019 begins in:

Torchwood may have made its last TV appearance with 2011’s Miracle Day, but the Doctor Who spin-off lives on. Big Finish Productions have continued the adventures of Captain Jack Harkness and his Cardiff team in new audio dramas featuring the original cast – and you can get the all the intel at MCM Scotland in Glasgow.

Join Torchwood producer and head writer James Goss at 1.30pm on Saturday 28 September as he reveals how Big Finish have made a successful return to the Hub – with the original stars of the TV show.

As well as stewarding the official post-Miracle Day continuation of the BBC series with Torchwood: Aliens Among Us and Torchwood: God Among Us, the Big Finish team have gone back in time to explore other points in the alien-monitoring organisation’s history. That means gone-but-not-forgotten heroes like Ianto Jones can live on, and that we can get a glimpse inside Yvonne Hartman’s Torchwood One, before it was destroyed by Cybermen and Daleks.

James has a long history in the Doctor Who universe, having written novelisations of Douglas Adams’ Doctor Who stories City Of Death, The Pirate Planet, and Doctor Who And The Krikkitmen. He also co-wrote Doctor Who novel Scratchman with the legendary Tom Baker.

So expect plenty of insight into Torchwood, writing audio dramas, bringing the old gang back together and future crossover potential, as James lands at MCM Scotland.
