MCM Comic Con London 2019 begins in:

Get the inside story on hit historical fantasy Britannia’s explosive second season at MCM London this October! Show creators Jez Butterworth, Tom Butterworth and James Richardson and stars David Morrissey and Eleanor Worthington-Cox will be taking to MCM’s Centre Stage at 13:30 on Saturday 26 October for an exclusive panel on the series, which returns to Sky Atlantic and streaming service NOW TV this autumn.

The first co-production between Sky and Amazon Prime Video, Britannia is set against the backdrop of the Roman conquest of Britain. Two years after invading the island with the help of Celtic queen Amena (Annabel Scholey), general Aulus Plautius (David Morrissey - The Walking Dead, Good Omens) is romanising willing tribes and crushing those that try to resist. However, Aulus’s behaviour raises suspicions that he has another agenda; one that raises ghosts of Queen Amena’s past and makes his threat to the Druids ever more critical.

The only hope for the Druids and Celts is Cait (Eleanor Worthington-Cox – Matilda the Musical, The Enfield Haunting); a young girl being trained by outcast Druid Divis (Nikolaj Lie Kaas) to fulfil a prophecy that would save Britannia from the Romans. But when a dead man wakes, two Druid brothers – Veran and Harka, both played by Mackenzie Crook – begin an epic battle of wills that divides the Druids and puts the prophecy in peril...
