WWE superstar turned Hollywood actor Dave Bautista is the first special guest to be announced for October’s MCM London, with the wrestling legend set to attend the Friday and Saturday of Britain’s biggest comic con.
Wrestling under the ring name of ‘Batista’, Washington D.C. native Dave Bautista was one of the WWE’s top stars between 2002 and 2010, winning the World Heavyweight Championship four times, the World Tag Team Championship three times and the WWE Championship twice. Famed for his ‘Batista Bomb’ finishing move, Batista returned to the squared circle for a short stint in 2014, triumphing at that year’s Royal Rumble.
Dave Bautista has followed up his hugely successful wrestling career with a series of roles in high profile movies, including starring as Drax the Destroyer in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, its 2017 sequel and recent release Avengers: Infinity War. Bautista also appears in the Academy Award-winning Blade Runner 2049, James Bond blockbuster Spectre and 2013 sci-fi film Riddick.
