There’s a lot to love about Marvel superhero movie Black Panther, but one of the highlights is Letitia Wright’s scene-stealing performance as T’Challa’s tech-savvy sister Shuri. So we’re super stoked to announce that Letitia will be joining us for the Friday and Saturday of MCM London – an appearance that will include a Main Stage panel at 12:30pm on the Friday of the show!
Rising star Wright’s Shuri is more than just a princess of the reclusive kingdom of Wakanda and ‘What are those?’ meme queen – she’s also a teen genius who heads up its cutting-edge R&D department. One of the smartest people in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, wisecracking Shuri uses her awesome inventions to help big bro T’Challa protect Wakanda as the Black Panther.
The British actor recently returned as Shuri in global blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War, while 2018 has also seen her cameo in Steven Spielberg sci-fi adventure Ready Player One. Prior to her Hollywood breakout, Wright was already on UK fans’ radars for her roles in small screen dramas such as Black Mirror, Top Boy, Humans and Doctor Who.
