MARK GATISS EXCLUSIVE Q&A FAQS:

 

What do I need to participate in the paid exclusive charity Q&A event?

  • A reliable internet connection
  • A supported web browser - Chrome, Firefox (for Android or Linux), Safari 11 (iOS), Chrome Firefox or Safari 11 (macOS), Chrome, Firefox or Edge (Windows)
  • You need to have purchased a ticket here

 

How does the Q&A work?

The Q&A will begin at 18:00-18:45 (BST), 13:00-13:45 (EDT) and 10:00-10:45 (PDT).

 

There is a £4.80 admission fee to participate in the Q&A, with all profits going to charity Switchboard LGBT+ Helpline. Admission gives you entry into a 45-minute Q&A session.

 

Fans will be able to send questions in via Twitter at the beginning of the week using #MCMAskMark commencing 22nd June, but there are no guarantees on whose question will be chosen. Once you make your purchase, you will get an order confirmation email from Showclix. You’ll receive the access code for the Q&A in the confirmation, and there will be a button that will appear underneath the access code to click on prior to the stream.

 

What happens during the Q&A?

You will have the opportunity to ask questions via Twitter at the beginning of the week using #MCMAskMark – note that no questions will be taken live during the Q&A as, to avoid technical issues, it will have been pre-recorded a couple of days previous.

Before you take part in the Q&A, make sure that you are ready and

have the following:

  • A reliable internet connection
  • A supported web browser (list above)

 

I purchased an admission to the Q&A but didn’t receive an email confirmation for my purchase.

First, be sure to check your spam and junk folders to see if the

confirmation email is there from noreply@mcmexpo.net . If not, we will be happy to resend the confirmation to you. Just send us an email to kate.mcgann@reedpop.com.

 

Can I buy more than one admission to the Q&A?

Yes, we do allow purchases of multiple admissions.

 

What time should I log in to the Q&A?

Please make sure you are ready to join the event at the designated

time. The link will be live 1 hour prior to the Q & A start time.

All admission times are listed in British Summer Time, so if you live outside of this time zone, please make sure you are aware of that time difference.

 

Can I have my family and/or friends join me during the Q&A?

Others are certainly welcome if they are in the same physical location as you on the same device, but another person would not be able to “virtually” join the Q&A from a different location. They will need to purchase a separate ticket. Please be mindful of current

social distancing rules; we do not advise taking part in a watch along with someone outside of your household.

 

Can I take pictures or record the session?

Photos or recording of the Q&A are not allowed.

 

I had technical difficulties, or I lost my connection, or something came up and I had to leave. This resulted in my missing the Q&A. Can I get a refund?

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer refunds if you miss the Q & A

for any reason, so please make sure you are prepared before the

session begins. Once the Q&A has finished we will leave it available as an on-demand video for the rest of the day just in case you missed the start time.

 

I’m not good with technology, are you able to provide technical

assistance or advice?

If something goes wrong during the Q&A, technical assistance will be provided. We unfortunately cannot offer any outside assistance

and ask that those who purchase have or develop a working

knowledge of the technology involved.

 

The talent had to cancel. Will I be refunded?

Absolutely. In the unlikely event that something unforeseen happens and prevents the talent from participating in the Q&A, aside from one of them having to step away for a few minutes to deal with something happening in their home, we will automatically refund the full amount of your purchase to your original form of payment. No action is needed on your part. We will send out an email to inform you of the refund. Please allow 5 business days for it to show on your statement.

 

How much of my ticket price will go to the Switchboard LGBT+ Helpline charity?

All profits will go to Switchboard LGBT+ Helpline (£3 per ticket). £1 will go to technical hosting costs and £0.80 is VAT.
