MCM Birmingham to host Sherlock & Fleabag star Andrew Scott
Andrew Scott - Sherlock’s Moriarty, Fleabag’s hot priest & Stannislaus Grumman in His Dark Materials - to guest at MCM Birmingham Comic Con this June.
We’re thrilled to announce that MCM Birmingham’s latest special guest is none other than Sherlock’s criminal genius and Fleabag’s sexy priest – Andrew Scott!
Dublin-born Scott is best known for his marvellously manic, BAFTA-winning portrayal of criminal mastermind Jim Moriarty in hit BBC mystery series Sherlock and for his recent, Golden Globe-nominated turn as The Priest in acclaimed comedy drama Fleabag.
Andrew Scott has also been on our screens recently as Stannislaus Grumman in BBC/HBO fantasy series His Dark Materials and Lieutenant Leslie in Sam Mendes war movie 1917, while last September saw him announced as the lead of upcoming crime drama Ripley, a new TV adaptation of Patricia Highsmith's best-selling Ripley novels.
Scott’s other appearances include 2015 Bond film Spectre, Black Mirror, Big Hero 6: The Series, Band of Brothers, Foyle's War and Philippa Lowthorpe's 2016 adaptation of children’s classic Swallows and Amazons.
He is also a hugely-talented stage actor, much lauded for his starring role in Robert Icke's 2017 production of Hamlet and scooping Best Actor at last year's Evening Standard Theatre Awards for his performance in Matthew Warchus' revival of Noël Coward's Present Laughter.
