SECC Venue Accessibility information

ACCESS

The SEC Centre has automatic doors at both the East and West entrances.

Every hall in the SEC Centre is at ground level.

WHEELCHAIRS

If you have your own wheelchair and wish to bring it to an event you’re welcome to do so. The venue do have a small number of wheelchairs available to borrow, but these are available on a first-come, first-served basis*.

Please note that wheelchairs can only be borrowed for one event day at a time. Collection and drop off is at the following points:

  • SEC Centre – cloakroom on the main concourse

To advise the venue of your intention to borrow a wheelchair in advance of your visit, please fill in this form. 

ASSISTANCE DOGS 

The SEC welcomes visitors with assistance dogs. We would ask that assistance dogs are clearly identifiable around the campus. Facilities are available for assistance dogs on request.

Carers Pass & Timed Entry

*Please note that applications close a week before the event in order to process them all.

MCM Comic Con offer an option (subject to criteria) for qualifying attendees to apply for a complementary Carer Pass and / or Timed Entry.  Please read eligibility before applying

Eligibility to apply for a Carer Pass is set out below; receipt of any other disability or age-related benefits, pass or permit which is not specified in the eligibility criteria cannot be accepted when applying for carer pass.

  • Disability Living Allowance (DLA); HIGH RATE & MIDDLE RATE CARE
  • Attendance Allowance (AA);
  • Blind Persons Registration;
  • Personal Independence Payment (PIP); ENHANCED CARE
  • Armed Forces Independence Payment.

PLEASE NOTE You can still apply for Timed Entry if you have Middle Rate care or Mobility.
