It’s morphin’ time! MCM Scotland Comic Con is thrilled to announce that Austin St. John and Karan Ashley, two of the stars of iconic ’90s series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, will be special guests at the show when it returns to Glasgow’s SECC this September.
Austin St. John is most famous for playing all-American martial artist Jason Lee Scott, the original Red Ranger and the first leader of the group. As well as starring in 81 episodes of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Austin returned for 17 episodes of Power Rangers: Zeo as the Gold Ranger – who in a memorable twist turned out to be none other than his original character Jason! Austin also reprised the role in 1997 feature Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie, which served as a bridge between Power Rangers: Zeo and its successor series.
Playing energetic and spirited Yellow Ranger Aisha Campbell, Karan Ashley appeared in over 65 episodes of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers after taking over the Yellow Ranger role from Thuy Trang. Introduced as an ally who helps the Power Rangers behind the battlefield, Aisha proves herself a kickass fighter when she joins the team proper, wielding the Saber-Toothed Tiger Power Coin and the Griffin Thunderzord. Karan also appeared in 1995’s Power Rangers: The Movie and TV sequel series Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers.
