Actor, voice artist and screenwriter David Hayter, famous as the voice of Solid Snake in the hugely successful Metal Gear Solid videogame franchise, will be making his Manchester Comic Con debut when the pop culture festival returns at the end of July.

As well as being an award-winning screenwriter with big screen credits such as X-Men, X-Men 2, Watchmen and The Scorpion King to his name, David Hayter is probably best known for his decade-long stint in the iconic role of Solid Snake in Hideo Kojima’s stealth-focused Metal Gear series, which also saw him voice the young Big Boss, ‘Naked Snake’.

The multi-talented Hayter was also the voice of Captain America on the much-lauded Spider-Man: The Animated Series, while the Canadian-American actor’s anime appearances include Hayao Miyazaki’s Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro, Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket, Fushigi Yugi and Yu Yu Hakusho: The Movie.
