MCM Comic Con London the UK’s BIGGEST pop culture event brings you VidFestUK, a celebration of all things online video and social.

The ways that we are entertained and communicate have changed so much in recent years, helping to broaden the reach of video and launching new internet stars. Each event we invite some of the best and unique video and web series creators to VidFestUK.

This October VidfestUK is back and we are working on bringing you a great line up of Vidfest favourites and first timers.

The Lizzie Bennet Diaries is a ground-breaking modern-day adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic novel Pride and Prejudice. Over fifty weeks, Lizzie’s story unfolded through five YouTube channels, Twitter, Tumblr, and nearly forty different social media accounts on platforms ranging from OK Cupid to LinkedIn.  Dubbed “the best Austen adaptation around” by The Guardian, The Lizzie Bennet Diaries went on to win the 2013 Emmy™ Award for Best Original Interactive Series, as well as the 2014 Streamy Award for Best Drama. Now the team is coming to the UK for the first time.

Exciting new vampire web series Morganville will be making its world premiere at next month’s MCM London Comic Con. Join bestselling US author and series writer Rachel Caine as she introduces the cast, which will include Buffy The Vampire Slayer’s Amber Benson along with Lindsay Seidel, JordanTanner Farris and a surprise special guest!  Debuting on Felicia Day’s Geek & Sundry network in late October, Morganville adapts The Morganville Vampires, Rachel Caine’s hit series of novels set in the vampire-haunted city of Morganville, Texas.

WEEBL’S STUFF

vidfestWeebl’s Stuff have been making animations on the internet almost before it even existed. There’s viral songs about badgers, crabs, countries and various foodstuffs. Series like Weebl and Bob, Cat Face, On The Moon and the animated videos for Electro Pop band Savlonic. Their videos and music are absurdist and tend to get stuck in your head.
