Cradle of Filth frontman and heavy metal icon Dani Filth is ready to rock MCM London Comic Con, attending the Friday of the show to meet fans, take part in panel discussions and promote his brand new album, Cryptoriana – The Seductiveness Of Decay.
As well as signing free autographs, Dani Filth will be taking to the Comic Con stage with horror maestro and heavy metal enthusiast Shaun Hutson and panel host Jed Shepherd to discuss what makes horror and heavy metal work so well together. Meanwhile, our ‘What’s On Netflix’ panel sees Dani, Shaun and Jed joined by authors Grady Hendrix and Ian Doescher to talk about the streaming service’s new movie line-up – horror and otherwise.
Formed in 1991, British metal band Cradle of Filth stamped their authority on the UK’s burgeoning black and death metal underground with debut album The Principle Of Evil Made Flesh in 1994. Since then, studio albums such as 1996’s Dusk… and Her Embrace, 1998’s Cruelty and the Beast, 2008’s Godspeed on the Devil’s Thunder and 2015’s Hammer of the Witches have cemented the band’s reputation as masters of extreme metal.
Released just last month, Cradle of Filth’s latest album Cryptoriana – The Seductiveness Of Decay is lyrically and artistically inspired by Victorian gothic horror and the Victorians’ infatuation with ‘the supernatural, the grave and the fervently ghoulish’.
