Actor, writer and comedian Catherine Tate, most famous for playing Doctor Who companion Donna Noble, is to attend London Comic Con later this month, joining a guest line-up that already includes fellow Doctor Who star Billie Piper (Rose Tyler) as well as a quartet of cast members from popular spin-off series Class.

Originally intended as a one-off character, Donna returned to join David Tennant’s Tenth Doctor for the entire run of Season 4 as well as the two-part End of Time special, becoming one of the most popular revival series companions. More recently, Catherine reprised the role of Donna Noble in three Doctor Who audio dramas – once again appearing alongside David Tennant.
Tate is also well known for awesome, award-winning sketch comedy series The Catherine Tate Show and its spin-off specials, Nan’s Christmas Carol and Catherine Tate’s Nan. Last year saw her take The Catherine Tate Show on a live UK tour, playing to 27 cities over 31 nights. In addition, she has appeared on US television screens as Nellie Bertram in The Office, making her entrance at the end of Season 7 and returning for Seasons 8 and 9.
In between filming seasons of The Office, Catherine returned to the UK to play Beatrice opposite David Tennant’s Benedick in Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing in London’s West End – a role that won her the BroadwayWorld UK Award for Best Leading Actress in a Play.
