We’re thrilled to announce that Turner’s Cartoon Network will have its biggest-ever presence at London Comic Con next weekend, with top talent from hit animated series Adventure Time and The Amazing World of Gumball set to make an appearance at the show.
Kicking off next Friday 28th October and running throughout the weekend, Cartoon Network has joined forces with Forbidden Planet to produce a totally algebraic Adventure Time-themed stand (stand no. 3811). The Cartoon Network Games Master will be waiting for you inside the walls of a giant inflatable Ice Mountain – and, once inside, a range of awesome quests await that will no doubt delight all fans of the show. Should you be victorious, there are prizes!
There will also be the chance to get your hands on the brand new I See Ooo Virtual Reality game complete with Jake-the-Dog branded viewer that transports players directly into the Land of Ooo for a completely enthralling new adventure.
Ramping up on Saturday 29th, Cartoon Network will be hosting two special Q&A and screening sessions, with a chance to meet some of the leading creatives behind the two much-loved series. Running back-to-back from 12-2pm in the Platinum Theatre, here’s a sneak-peek of what these sessions will include:
- Behind the Scenes with The Amazing World of Gumball(12-1pm): Hear from Series Creator and Series Director, Ben Bocquelet and Mic Graves, about the history of this top performing and multi award-winning UK-produced show, which has just been nominated for two 2016 BAFTA Children’s Awards. Find out how it gets made and what’s still in store for Gumball, Darwin and The Wattersons in the seasons to come. Featuring exclusive behind-the-scenes content and a never-before-seen episode from the latest series.
- Writing for Adventure Time(1-2pm): Learn what it’s like to write for this long-running hit series from none other than Adventure Time’s Head Writer, Kent Osborne. Discover the secrets behind what does and doesn’t make it into the show, and watch one of the final episodes from Season 7 before anyone else in the UK!
Both sessions will offer plenty of time to ask your own questions and will be followed by a joint fan-signing – it’s not to be missed!
