We’re delighted to announce that Star Trek star Denise Crosby (The Walking Dead, The New Adventures of Superman) will be among the sci-fi special guests attending the winter edition of MCM Birmingham Comic Con next month.
Denise Crosby played Enterprise security chief Tasha Yar in the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation, returning to the bridge as Tasha in season three’s alternate reality episode ‘Yesterday’s Enterprise’ and later as Tasha’s half-human, half-Romulan daughter Sela in TNG two-parters ‘Redemption’ and ‘Unification’.
In fact, Denise has played three generations of the Yar family in total, appearing as Tasha’s grandmother Dr. Jenna Yar in fan-produced series Star Trek: New Voyages. She also co-produced and narrated the 1997 documentary Trekkies, as well as its 2003 sequel Trekkies 2.
More recently, Crosby has been on our television screens as the cannibalistic Mary in the ‘Terminus’ arc of smash hit zombie show The Walking Dead. Other TV credits include The X-Files, Dexter, Mad Men, Prison Break, Bones and The New Adventures of Superman.
Meanwhile, big screen roles include 1982 action comedy 48 Hrs., Stephen King horror Pet Sematary and sci-fi disaster movie Deep Impact. Earlier this year, Denise also voiced a character for video game XCOM 2’s critically-acclaimed expansion, War of the Chosen.
