Guy Henry, best known for his appearances in the iconic Star Wars and Harry Potter franchises and long-running role in popular medical drama Holby City, will be meeting fans at MCM Birmingham Comic Con when the show returns to the NEC this November.
The London-born actor followed in the late, great Peter Cushing’s footsteps to play the ruthless Governor Tarkin in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, while Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Parts 1 & 2 saw him appear as Death Eater and Department of Magical Law Enforcement head Pius Thicknesse. Comic Con fans will also recognise Guy Henry as sinister surveillance chief Conrad Heyer in 2005 comic book adaptation V for Vendetta.
Beyond the big screen, RADA-trained Henry is a noted stage actor with numerous RSC productions to his name. Meanwhile, major TV roles include Cassius, the mastermind behind Caesar’s assassination, in HBO historical series Rome and Swedish surgeon Henrik Hanssen in popular medical drama Holby City. Other television credits include The IT Crowd, Wallander, John Adams, Extras, Rumpole of the Bailey and Lost in Austen.
Fellow Star Wars cast and crew joining Guy at MCM Birmingham Comic Con include Angus MacInnes, who played Gold Leader in A New Hope and Rogue One; John Morton, who played Luke’s Gunner in The Empire Strikes Back; and puppeteer Hugh Spight, who played a number of roles in Return of the Jedi.
