Under The Dome and Supernatural star Colin Ford is the latest special guest to be announced for Birmingham Comic Con. Colin plays Joe McAlister, one of the main characters in CBS sci-fi series Under The Dome. A smart teenager whose parents are outside of the dome, Joe is the love interest of Norrie (Mackenzie Lintz) although recently he’s been getting uncomfortably close to the mysterious Melanie (Grace Victoria Cox). Both Grace and Mackenzie were guests at the recent MCM London Comic Con.
Based on Stephen King’s bestselling novel, Under The Dome follows the inhabitants of the small American town of Chester’s Mill after they wake up one morning to find themselves trapped inside an indestructible transparent dome. There’s no internet, no mobile signal, but plenty of tension as the townsfolk try to figure out what’s going on. Last month, CBS announced that Under The Dome has been renewed for a third season.
Colin Ford is also well known for his portrayal of Matt Damon’s angst-ridden son, Dylan, in Cameron Crowe’s We Bought A Zoo, and won a Young Artist Award for his role as young Sam Winchester in Supernatural. Colin is currently voicing the titular character in award-winning Disney cartoon series Jake And The Never Land Pirates.
